Muscular Dystrophy Association is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.”
Since 1954, IAFF has partnered with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and has been an essential part of helping MDA uphold its mission statement.
Last year IAFF locals nationwide raised over $26 million for MDA. Anchorage Local 1264 raised over $97,000, ranking us 29th in the country for Fill the Boot money raised.
MDA Alaska serves 150 families statewide, and all money IAFF raises stays local to provide services for families living with muscle disease.
This year Anchorage Fill the Boot will be held on Friday August 30th from 3:00pm-6:00pm. With your support MDA can continue to provide help and hope to local families living with muscle disease. So come support MDA; bring your families, bring your boots and come make a muscle, come make a difference.
Please check with your local to get dates and times for your Fill the Boot event!
